ANALISIS FAKTOR DUKUNGAN KELUARGA DENGAN KEPATUHAN KONTROL BEROBAT PASIEN SKIZOPRENIA DI POLI JIWA RSUD DR. MURJANI SAMPIT

Abstract

Schizophrenia is a chronic mental disorder characterized by disturbances in thinking, perception, emotion, and behavior, making it difficult for individuals to distinguish between reality and illusion. The management of schizophrenia requires continuous care to prevent relapse and improve the patient's quality of life. Patient adherence to treatment follow-up is a crucial aspect of the recovery process. Several factors that play a role in enhancing adherence include the family's level of knowledge, the motivation provided by the family, and the ease of access to healthcare services. This study aims to analyze the relationship between family support factors (family knowledge, family motivation, and access to healthcare facilities) and the adherence to treatment control among schizophrenia patients at the Psychiatric Polyclinic of Dr. Murjani Sampit Regional General Hospital. The research design used is correlational analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The instruments used in this study are questionnaires and observation sheets, with logistic regression as the statistical test. The study population consists of 92 individuals, and the sample includes 75 family members of patients at the Psychiatric Clinic of RSUD Dr. Murjani Sampit. The results of the statistical analysis using logistic regression showed that the p-value for knowledge and treatment compliance was 0.011 (indicating a significant relationship), the p-value for family motivation and treatment compliance was 0.050 (indicating a significant relationship), and the p-value for access and treatment compliance was 0.022 (indicating a significant relationship). The synergy between a deep understanding from family, strong motivational encouragement, and readily available healthcare services collectively forms a solid foundation for improving treatment control adherence in schizophrenia patients, ultimately contributing to a better quality of life for patients.
